This privacy policy explains how I collect, use and look after your personal information when you use this website or get in touch. I keep things simple and transparent. If anything is unclear, please ask.
Who I am
BNew Designed Interiors is my interior design business, based in Walton on Thames, Surrey. I work with clients across Weybridge, Cobham, Esher and the surrounding areas.
What information I collect
I only collect information that you give me directly or that I need to run my business properly.
Information you give me
When you fill in the contact form on my website, you send me:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you choose to send it)
- Your budget (if you choose to send it)
- Your message about your project
If you email me directly, I will keep whatever you send in that email. If we work together on a project, I may also collect your address, details about your property, and any preferences or requirements you share with me.
Information I collect automatically
When you visit my website, my hosting provider may record basic technical details such as your IP address (the unique number that identifies your device on the internet), the pages you look at, and when you visited. This is standard for most websites and helps me understand how the site is used.
How I use your information
I use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiries and answer your questions
- Arrange consultations and visits
- Carry out design work for you if you become a client
- Send you invoices and keep records of our work together
- Keep in touch about your project if we are working together
- Improve my website and how I run my business
I do not use your information for marketing emails unless you have specifically asked me to. I will not sell or pass your details to other companies for their marketing.

- Suppliers and tradespeople: If you hire me for a project, I may need to share your address and contact details with contractors, suppliers or delivery companies so they can fulfil orders or carry out work at your property.
- My website host: The company that hosts this website will process the contact form data so it can reach me. They are bound by their own privacy rules.
- Legal or other official requests: If the law requires me to share information (for example with the police or a court), I will do so.
I do not share your information with anyone else for marketing purposes.
How I store your information
I store your information securely. I use password-protected email and storage. I do not store your payment card details; any payments are handled by you directly with suppliers or through separate payment methods.
How long I keep your information
I keep your information for as long as I need it:
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: I may keep your name, email and message for up to two years after we last spoke, in case you get in touch again. After that, I delete it.
- Active projects: I keep all project-related information for the duration of the work and for a reasonable time afterwards.
- Completed projects: I keep records of completed projects for at least seven years for tax and legal reasons. This may include your name, address, contact details and project details.
I do not keep information longer than I need it. If you ask me to delete your information sooner, I will do so where I am allowed to by law.
Your rights
You have a number of rights over your personal information:
- Access: You can ask me what information I hold about you and I will provide it in a clear format.
- Correction: If you think something I hold is wrong, you can ask me to correct it.
- Deletion: You can ask me to delete your information. I will do so where I am not required to keep it for legal or other reasons.
- Object to processing: You can object to me using your information in certain ways.
- Complaint: You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how I handle your data. Their website is ico.org.uk.
